For 12 Apr 2008 00:00:00 - Be Ready Alliance Coordinating for Emergencies, BRACE, invites individuals, families, businesses and organizations to attend the Hurricane Expo on Saturday, April 12 from 10AM-4PM at the Pensacola Civic Center. Over 80 exhibitors will provide information about services and products that can help in the preparation for and mitigation against disasters. There is no charge for admission.

BRACE is partnering with the Escambia County Department of Public Safety, the Local Mitigation Strategy Committee, the University of Florida IFAS Extension, and the My Safe Florida Home Program of the Department of Financial Services to present the Expo. Homecoming Air Show

For 09 Nov 2007 00:00:00 - The Homecoming Air Show is held at Pensacola Naval Air Station, Florida, on Friday and Saturday, November 9 & 10, 2007. Gate admission is free. Gates open at 8 am each day. The show begins at 9:45 am, with the Blues scheduled to fly around 2 pm.* The pilots do sign autographs after the show.
Over 100,000 people are expected to view the show daily. Visitors are directed to the air field parking from both gates, but encouraged to use the back gate off of Blue Angel Parkway. Traffic is well handled and clears the base easily after the show. Patrons may bring chairs, however, no coolers, backpacks, food, drinks or pets will be allowed. MWR rents bleachers to provide seating for those not bringing chairs and bleacher seating is available for $5 per person.

Pensacola 2007 Greek Festival

This 3 day cultural event provides an opportunity for our church to share or culture and faith with the Pensacola community. The Festival is held over the Veterans Day weekend in November on church grounds under large tents and includes live bouzouki music, dance performance by the youth dance groups, a variety of delicious Greek foods and tours of our church.
The Festival is truly a labor of love by our parishioners. Months of preparation goes into the planning and presentation of this event. In addition to Greek cuisine, music and dance, we want to highlight our Orthodox faith. Festival guests are invited to tours of the Church which include explanations of traditional Orthodox architecture, music and worship.
A portion of this year's proceeds will be given to Covenant Hospice of Northwest Florida.

Greater Gulfcoast Arts Festival

This three-day, juried art show comes to Pensacola's historic Seville Square the first weekend in November. Each year, it draws more than 200 of the nation's best painters, potters, sculptors, jewelers, graphic artists, craftsmen, mixed-media artists and others who have been gifted with the ability to turn inspiration into art.

Live musicians will hit the right notes from the Main Stage with sounds ranging from of bluegrass, Cajun and blues to instrumental guitar. The Parrish Performing Arts Stage will showcase dance schools, performing companies, community groups, and area folk groups.

The Festival features an authentic Heritage Arts area, where skilled craftspeople from around the country provide demonstrations of crafts from the past, including blacksmithing, engraving, spinning, weaving and other time-honored traditions.
